Can An Engine Flush Reduce Oil Consumption?

Can an engine flush reduce oil consumption? Is engine flush the fix?
I’ve helped diagnose oil consumption issues linked to engine sludge.
A high-quality engine flush can remove sludge and deposits from piston rings and cylinders, helping restore compression and reduce oil consumption.
However, it won’t fix worn piston rings or seals, which are common causes of oil burning.
Flushing involves circulating solvents or high-end cleaning agents through the engine at idle for 20 minutes or more.
Be careful when flushing high-mileage engines, especially neglected ones, as it can push excess sludge through the engine.
