“OVER 80% of minor running issues CAN BE RESOLVED and PREVENTED with professional cleaners & treatments.”

Discover how thousands of average motorists and fleet operators are saving £££’s in fuel, vehicle maintenance and repair costs.

Do Not Get Scammed. Fortunately there are honest repair garages and specialists that will offer the most cost effective solution for their customers. BUT, many continue to bend the moral compass -“That’ll need four new injectors…..or a new EGR valve……or a new turbo, and so on.”

Furthermore, DON’T wait until it is too late. With today’s modern engines and complex fuel systems it is more important than ever to keep the fuel system and engine running optimally to save those dreaded visits to the garage.

We are part of a dedicated team of experts that have been working in and researching the fuel, additives and lubricants market for over a decade. What we have learned will surprise you and some of it we cannot repeat in public. A combination of underperforming fuel, fuel and engine mismatches, propaganda by fuel and part manufacturers and a minefield of technologies has kept us busy.

Oil Companies, Car Manufacturers & Parts Industry Do Not Want You to Know This!

What we will reveal is this:

  1. Oil (fuel) companies are struggling to keep up with innovative engine designs focused on reducing emissions. Many modern engines, particularly those with very high pressure fuel and complex emissions control systems are overly sensitive to fuel quality and the tolerance can be very narrow. Some early 1990s diesel engines would happily run on used, filtered chip fat but try anything remotely similar with a modern engine and it will throw an engine warning light within 10 miles. When an engine operates outside of these tolerances, poor running, debilitating carbon deposits and even premature wear can result.  This has been exacerbated with an increase of biofuel content in both petrol and diesel fuels. We have seen vehicles with irregular running fuel systems, completely blocked Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems and Diesel Particulate Filters even before the first service was due!
  2. Lubricants and Additives Racket – MOST additives and oils are rebranded. Visit an automotive trade show and I guarantee that you will struggle to find one true additive manufacturer for every 20 companies promoting additives and/or lubricants. It may surprise you that some of the largest, well-known brands sell nothing more than rebranded products. This industry is just one big marketing competition and some are very good at it too. We work with carefully selected and established manufacturers – true manufacturers with substantial R&D capability and patented technologies – expert chemists, tribologists and engineers. Neither they nor we are interested in using attractive girls spread over bonnets of race cars to market products.
  3. Vehicle manufacturers already use additives…but only when it suits them. For example, a prominent European petrochemicals company supplied an aggressive fuel system cleaner to a well-known vehicle manufacturer because they were facing hundreds of thousands of potential warranty claims from carbon build-up on the fuel injectors. This was a classic example of fuel-versus-engine design mismatch! The additive was administered to all affected engines on a recall or during the next scheduled service and customers were none the wiser.
  4. Many diesel vehicles are mis-sold as they are simply not designed for 3-mile round trip school runs. Some are sitting time bombs just waiting for the complex and sensitive emission control systems to complain of excessive carbon build-up. Engines are designed to naturally consume a certain amount of carbon, however a combination of driving style and fuel quality means that this threshold is often exceeded.
  5. Fuel Injector Cleaning Equipment Racket. Fuel system cleaning technology has advanced to such a degree that rigging up injector cleaning apparatus to the fuel rail is no longer required. This is because injector cleaning and carbon removal via the fuel tank is as effective and in many cases even more efficient. However, through smart marketing, celebrity endorsement and attractive dealer margins, such convoluted systems are back in vogue. They were very popular back in the 1990s but we stopped listing them for sale years ago as they offer no additional value to the consumer; only an increase in cost.

If you find your vehicle not running or performing as it should and suspect that the engine is suffering from accumulated deposits in the fuel system, combustion area, catalytic convertor, DPF or Turbo, then we can help.

Whether you are looking to resolve running difficulties or carry out routine maintenance, we are the trusted source for professional products and expert advice. Through years of experience our corporate customers, fleet operators, garages and enthusiasts continue to use us. This is because they know we remain at the cutting edge of fuel and engine cleaning technology and always provide the best maintenance and remedial products to satisfy, and in many cases, exceed their requirements.

We do not supply “magic” additives with ridiculous horsepower or fuel economy claims. What our fuel cleaning products actually do is restore lost performance by removing accumulated deposits in both the fuel system and engine. Performance and economy degradation is then restored and – providing there are no other underlying problems – your vehicle will perform as it did when it left the factory.

    Where to start?

For a professional clean of the fuel system, injectors and combustion area we recommend Archoil© AR6400 (AR6400-D MAX for diesel engines).  These modern all-in-one treatments, which are simply added to the fuel, safely clean away accumulated deposits in the entire fuel system (including injectors), combustion areas, turbo, catalytic convertor, DPF and more.  If this doesn’t resolve the problem or provide the results you are after then no other chemical-based products is likely to work for you.  Don’t be fooled by separate cleaners for the fuel system, turbo, DPF and so on.  AR6400-D MAX contains fuel system cleaning detergents, carbon removing chemistry and the necessary fuel borne catalyst technologies in a single product to clean ALL of these areas.

One of our regular use fuel conditioners (such as AR6900-D or AR6900-P) will then maintain a clean fuel system and engine whilst offering additional benefits such as: maintenance cleaning, protection against poor-quality fuel, lubrication, combustion modification, emission reduction and so forth.

    Remember:

  1. No need to purchase multiple different cleaners for the fuel system, turbo, cat, dpf and so on.  Address all these systems with AR6400 or AR6400-D for diesel engines. Very simple to use – just add to the fuel tank and fill up on top.
  2. Then use maintenance products to KEEP the system clean and operating efficiently. AR6900-P for petrol and AR6900-D for diesel.

We won’t blind you with exaggerated performance and MPG gains or even test data from “trusted” and “approved” testing bodies.

Many claim the impossible – We give you the possible and actual.

AR6400, AR6400-D and AR6900-D are rapidly becoming the most popular professional cleaner and the defacto standard in fuel system cleaning and carbon removal.

You may have heard about our products from car clubs, Internet forums, friends or family. If so, you will be familiar with the positive response our products have received.

Have you used cleaning products before and they didn’t work? It is important that you use the correctly targeted chemistries for the right job. So what makes AR6400 effective? A main contributory factor with petrol cleaners is the high concentrate of polyether amine (PEA) chemistry. As proven by the Engine Manufacturers Association (www.enginemanufacturers.org) and the World Wide Fuel Charter (WWFC), PEA is the only recognised and approved chemical compound for FAST removal of hard-baked carbon deposits from gasoline engines. AR6400 has the highest safe amount of PEA for effective deposit removal for guaranteed results. It also is fortified with the latest-generation deposit removal detergents and Archoil’s coveted combustion modifier. The AR6400-D diesel cleaner contains an even higher ratio of specific detergents, but with the same combustion modifier, high-quality fuel system lubricant andadditional cetane booster.

Most fuel cleaners contain high levels of solvent or kerosene-based fillers. AR6400 and AR6400D contain zero fillers and are fortified with state-of-the-art detergents and additives squeezed into a 400ml bottle. This provides the most complete cleaning package available in a single bottle.

FACT: Internal combustion engines are inefficient and whilst this remains the case they will accumulate deposits. Whilst steps have been taken to include detergents in fuel, unfortunately they DO NOT contain enough to keep an engine free from deposits.

A simple titration test will reveal this. This involves using a primer chemical with the additive mixed with fuel and then adding drops of an activating chemical until the sample changes colour. Pump fuels will change colour after one to two drops whereas a standard PBA cleaner may average around three to six drops. Both AR6400 and AR6400-D exceed 30 drops.

How You Can Verify Our Cleaners Work? – Our Challenge to You

If you own a petrol vehicle, before adding our product remove one of the spark plugs from the engine and shine a light down the spark plug hole. You will notice that the top of the piston is black and coated with carbon build-up. Similarly, the valves and other parts of the combustion area are likely to be in a similar condition. Now add one of our professional cleaners with a full tank of fuel. The carbon will start to dissolve and will be removed through the normal engine combustion process.

After you are halfway through that tank of fuel, remove the spark plug again and shine a light down the spark plug hole and recheck the condition of the top of the piston. You will notice that much of the carbon is removed and that you will clearly see signs of a cleaner piston. After a full tank of fuel, all you will see is a clean piston with no carbon deposits. Not only does it thoroughly clean the entire fuel system, but it also removes all carbon deposits.

There are many enthusiasts on automotive forums that provide fuel additive advice and many of them have copied or referenced our literature. We have even had in-depth telephone consultations with some. We were the first to publicly reveal the importance of polyether amine chemistry in fuel cleaning chemistry back in 2007 when we released BG44K to our customers and then BG244 in 2008.

Do Fuel & Oil Additives Really Work?

Are Fuel Additives Safe?

One customer of ours, a mother of two, was facing a £1600 bill to replace the DPF and simply did not have the money to fix it. We resolved it with two products for 1/50 of the price.

A hard-working taxi driver had to pay over £600 to replace an EGR. This could have been avoided by using a fuel and oil conditioner to limit deposit build-up.

Treat your car to the best, at zero risk. What we guarantee you is the best chance at keeping your engine and fuel system problem-free and resolution of any existing problems. If it doesn’t work, we’ll refund your money.

GUARANTEE

Our guarantee to you is that you will receive professional care with the most suitable solution, if any, recommended for you. We offer a full, risk-free, 60-day, no quibble, money back guarantee. We are the only company in the UK that provides this level of care and guarantee on fuel system and engine cleaners.

How do I request a refund if I am not entirely satisfied?

If you purchased from www.powerenhancer.co.uk, then just send a quick email to support@powerenhancer.co.uk. Please include your order details and a quick note about the issue and a full refund will be processed within 48 hours. As you put your trust in us we will go that extra step and offer free advice to help you resolve any particular problem you are trying to rectify with your vehicle. This is completely optional and free of charge.

Maintenance is always much cheaper than a mechanical fix or an invasive carbon removal procedure, so take action now. Unfortunately, much of our business is “reactive” with many customers having waited too long and requesting products to fix fuel system issues, excess carbon deposits or worse.

Will any of our cleaners potentially damage any part of the engine or fuel system?

No, or we wouldn’t still be in business. We don’t market products that we haven’t already examined and tested ourselves. The detergents and accompanying chemistry have been fully tested at increased dosage rates to ensure there is no potential damage to fuel system components or seals. Every product comes with full after-sales support.

What happens to the carbon?

PEA combined with other accompanying chemistry uses a dispersal technology that dissolves and removes deposits particle by particle, thus reducing the risk of pulling sludge or deposits through the system. Much of the removed or dissolved carbon is burned and converted to energy, just like fuel.

If you have any questions about the above or require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

TESTIMONIALS

We have accumulated thousands of testimonials from all type of customers. These include ones from end users, corporate and fleet operators, master mechanics, research professionals and established academics in the field of chemistry, engine combustion and tribology. Not to mention the OE vehicles manufacturers that already use additives to minimise their warranty liability. Below are just a few of the kudos we have received:

ARCHOIL© AR6400 – “Hello, I have recently purchased and used your AR6400 product.
In the past, my car achieved an average fuel consumption of 34.6 mpg, which for a high performance vehicle, I thought to be good. Having used your product, together with fitting an ITG panel air filter, I am now achieving 40.6 mpg. It looks like you will be saving me a great deal of money. Thankyou so much – outstanding.” Tony

ARCHOIL© AR6400 – “Hi, recently purchased your Archoil Professional fuel system cleaner for my Mini Cooper S. Very impressed by the extra boost it appeared to immediately give to the supercharger.” Nick

ARCHOIL© AR6400-D– “Hi guys. I am new to these forums but have found them a very interesting read. I have had the same problem as most on here with the car showing more warning lights than a jumbo jet out of fuel. Because of the constant selection of Limp home mode, one garage said they would have to take the gearbox apart at the cost of a couple of thousand pounds.A couple of weeks ago the car wouldn’t start at all. After five days of scratching my head and after reading these forums I found out about the EGR Valve and someone said tap it with a rubber mallet, which I did. Hey Presto, the bloody thing started. It seemed to me that the slightest bit of dirt would make the valve stick and because the sensors really couldn’t tell what was wrong, all sorts of lights lit up and limp-home mode engaged.Anyway, I have solved all my problems with an amazing product called Archoil. The product was AR6400-D. It is supposed to clean your system including the EGR. I have only had the stuff in there for about 100 miles now and the difference is amazing. I am hoping that before long I can take the rubber mallet out of my boot. It’s embarrassing sitting in the supermarket car parkbelting the hell out of a Jaguar engine to make it go. Like most people, I am sceptical about products like this but i was desperate and willing to try anything. Footnote: I am in no way connected to the makers of Archoil. Just an ordinary Joe trying to get his car to work efficiently.”Mitch H.

ARCHOIL© AR6200 & AR9100 – “Hi, just some feedback on the Archoil products I used on my week’s holiday to Scotland. I added the oil & burner products to my VW Sharan, 1.9 tdi 115 bhp.Smooth-running & returned 45mpg, fully-laden with four adults, two dogs & luggage.1,500 miles in a week.Great products, will be ordering again soon. Thanks again.”  Richard

ARCHOIL© AR6200 – “I can’t believe how good the Archoil AR6200 additive is. The car runs smoother and (is) getting at least an extra 6mpg around town and only adding 5ml per tank! Looking forward to using the Archoil AR6400 to give it a good clean-through. Kind regards, Matt.”

ARCHOIL© AR6600 – “Just wanted to say thanks – it has worked a treat and cleared a problem with a stuttering turbo causing a terrible flat spot at 3500 revs.”

ARCHOIL© AR6600 – “Hello, just want to say how pleased I am with the Archoil AR6600 turbo cleaner. Recently my VW Passat wouldn’t go past 3k revs without throwing me into limp mode. I’ve had it to garages, which have said the vanes in the turbo are sticking and I’d probably need a new turbo. So anyway, 15 quids worth of diesel, a bottle of this and a blast down the motorway and it seems to have cleared. The car has never had so much of a kick behind it. Thanks a lot, saved me a big mechanic bill.”Liam O.

“I have to say that Archoil products work really well for me in my 2.0d BMW X3. Also, the forums/blog are useful in understanding what goes on within and why it sometimes plays up. Once again, thanks for your help.”Steve

“Hello,I’ve driven to south to France to relatives. They have a string of high-mileage diesel cars and vans.I had bought a bottle of AR6400-D to use on the trip. However, at arriving at host’s home, the discussion of diesel engines came up. The conversation ended with me gifting them my bottle of AR6400-D.Their old Renault Megane Diesel with 340,000 km on the clock was completely transformed by your magic potion. The car they had thought was on its last legs. Under 100 miles of driving with Archoil in the tank (it) became quieter, faster and more responsive. My host was so impressed with Archoil, he called his local garage owner at 11p.m. at night demanding to know why he hadn’t stocked any Archoil.Good luck, I think you have a new bunch of customers here in south of France. All with diesel cars and fleet vans to operate.”Asim B.

“Hi Andy, you will be glad to hear on my friend’s Ford Mondeo 2.0L diesel with a DPF (DW10BTED4 engine) it gave a solid 10 percent fuel economy improvement and restored the car’s original responsive and engine note/noise.Thanks!Regards,Istiaqu”

“The previous average for the E320 CDI before an oil changeplus addition of the additive was 27.5 MPG, according to the trip computer. After driving 800 miles with the additive – with the same driving pattern and same brand/grade of oil used – the MPG has climbed to an average of 30.5 MPG, just over a 10 percent improvement, so I’m well pleased.Regards, Danny”

“What a great purchase, I have tried a few products and I can honestly say what a product. After just a tank full of fuel what a difference! The car sounds quiet, crisper on the throttle response and is giving an extra few miles. I fully recommend this to anyone, as they say ‘Probably the best treatment on the market.’ Used on BMW 525 Sport.” Milan

“Comments: I ordered a tin from you, it arrived quickly. I added it to my seven-year-old Suzuki Liana,(47K+) which had started to suffer from EGR engine-management light being constantly on whilst the engine was running. Following evidence from several blogs, I decided to put BG44K to the test. After 170 miles, (about one-third of a tank), the light went out and stayed out! The engine is sweeter in sound, response and fuel economy. This is the greatest product to hit the market in decades. I will be a regular user at oil-change from now on, and I will certainly recommend you and your product. A motoring claim that actually works, and more quickly than expected.”D.W.Cole

“Good morning, I have now been using your products for a few months now and I would like to say… they do deliver!”

“When I first acquired my car it had done 122k miles and I did not expect major improvements. But after using every 2nd fill, I have been able to change from 44 mpg to 48mpg and the car is now at 131K. Thanks! Best regards, K. Smith”

“Just to say thank you, and although too early to judge any improvements on car or boat, I am so impressed with your company care, I have sent details to my brother in Guernsey. Regards, M. Wiggins”

“Comments: Can’t believe it,have only done 15 miles of mixed driving (around town and a short blast on the motorway),and the engine has stopped “juddering” when idling.”R. Dunn

“I’m just writing a quick email to let you know the results on using your diesel treatment, received on the above order number. We recently bought a low-mileage 2010 Kia Sportag 4×4 with 6k miles on.  The Kia dealer said that an elderly gent had owned it since they supplied it and it had been used for pootling around in.When we got it home and started using it, it felt like it needed a really good clearout.  I gave it a motorway run but it was still hesitant, especially when setting off in 1st and then moving up to 2nd and so on. Anyway, I used it as instructed.  Put it in the tank and then filled up.  I felt a difference in just a few miles but couldn’t quite believe it and thought I might just be wanting it to work too much so I waited until I had driven 250 miles and then I took my husband out in it.  He couldn’t believe the difference! It is now smoother with no hesitation at all and now feels like the new car it should feel like. We are so pleased and so I thought that I would let you know.Thank you, S Jones

All I can say is WOW!!! After 1/2 tank of gas I have a noticeable increase in power and reduced engine clatter. Seriously, my engine runs and sounds sweet…almost like the Nissan engine was yanked and someone dropped a BMW inline 6 in there. Well, maybe that’s a bit exaggerated, but it’s quite a bit smoother and better sounding. I also expect an increase in gas mileage, but I won’t know for at least a week after I fill up and drive normally on the next tank.

Andy, as you know I have been in the trade for a long time, even longer than you!  I am always amazed by your level of knowledge and expertise. Would you like a job?  I know your job is a tough one as there is so much crap out there and its refreshing to have a supplier that will only provide the very best solutions for me and my customers but also with the support to match.  We continue to use you for this reason.  Much appreciated, B Roberts (Master Mechanic)

We lost a trademark dispute with a large oil company and had to rebrand. Yes, fuel additives are still safe to use with adblue systems.

Read your article re using AR6400 D-Max. I have a 2016 VW Touareg V6 3.0l diesel 64000 miles. Only had the car for a few weeks and have done 3,400 miles since purchase after vehicle had been fully serviced as part of the purchase process. Engine Management light has just come on indicating fault in exhaust. Suggestion from manual get a technician to check VDCS code and get car sorted. Booked in for checking and repair in 2 days time, under 6 month / 6000 purchase warranty. So I am sure it may be sorted for me ….. fo now !! How much AR6400 D-Max additive do you put into a tank full. Touareg tank capacity is 75l. Thanks

Hi, need advise on my 2017 bluehdi 2.0 Peugeot Boxer diesel !
The engine has only done 7000 miles and in a motorhome, it’s unlikely to do more than 5000 mls a year, however these are long miles, no short runs.

Can I safely use your products in this engine?

I recently bought a “neglected” Volvo V70 2.4D – I estimate it had been neglected for the last 50k or so (it’s done 168k) (I had to put 2 L of oil in the engine before the dipstick showed normal!) – I had the car serviced by my local garage, but I was still left with a (serious) problem that every time I put little too much power on ( & sometimes, on just a slight incline) it went into Limp Mode.. and had to be restarted… After reading your website, I put Archoil AR6400D-Max into a full tank of fuel – the problem cleared after around 40 miles – I pulled my Caravan last weekend, the engine started heating as I pulled up Dinmore Hill near Hereford at 50 MPH.. revving around 4k – No more problems – I suspect my Turbo was sticking – but after Archoil the whole engine feels smoother and more responsive. I am now a “Believer”… I will continue the treatment using AR6900D.

Hi my name is Dave i have read most of what you have said on your website and i am impressed with what you say now i have got quite a few big problems firstly what is the ECU is it the sensor that is on the dpf filter and it gives the right or wrong readings that is my guess because in your letters you say that a lot of peoples problems think it is a dpf problem when it is the ecu for giving a false reading. right now lets get down to my mega problems now my ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT has been off and on for 3 weeks because i went first to the garage and they put it on the diagnostic machine and it came back as exhaust GASSES problem so he said that it is my dpf filter because i told him the problems i was having the minibus kept CONKING OUT WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE BUS AND I KEPT ON LOSING POWER AND I HAVE NO TURBO. SORRY I HAVE GOT A FORD TRANSIT TURBO DIESEL 2013 IT has done 92000 miles. So my friend has told me THAT IT IS A DPF PROBLEM AND NOW I HAVE GOT 2 ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHTS ON.WE PUT IT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND HE PUT THE LIGHTS OUT FOR ME AND THEY JUST CAME BACK ON 2 MINUTES LATER SO I BOUGHT DIESEL CLEANERS DPF AND TURBO I HAVE ONLY ADDED THE DPF CLEANER AND TOOK IT FOR A 30 MINUTE RUN AT OVER 50 MILES AN HOUR CONSTANTLY. SO NOW I AM GOING TO TRY WHAT YOU SUGGESTED IS TO GO FOR A DRIVE AND GET DRIVING TEMPERATURE AND THEN DROP IT DOWN 2 GEARS AND DO OVER 3000-3500 REVS A MINUTE THE QUESTION THAT I AM GOING TO ASK YOU IS THAT HOW LONG DO I DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT THE HIGH REVS IS IT 10-20-30 MINUTES CAN YOU LET ME KNOW ASAP,AND I AM GOING TO BUY ALL YOUR CLEANERS AND ADDITIVES AND HOPEFULLY THAT WILL CLEAR ALL MY PROBLEMS THANKS FOR LISTENING CHEERS I AWAIT YOUR REPLY DAVE.

Get the engine up to full operating temperature. Then, on a main 60mph or 70mph road, drop down a gear or 2 to get the revs to 3K. Hold for approx 30 seconds. If this doesn’t work then the DPF doesn’t require a regen or there is another underlying issue.

I have a BMW X3 3.0SD 56 plate. It pulls somewhat when accelerating hard. I
put it in for diagnosis and on a Balance test it came back with the
    following figures:

    Cyl 1 = -1.51
    Cyl 5 = -0.10
    Cyl 3 = 1.54
    Cyl 6 = -1.82
    Cyl 2 = 4.46
    Cyl 4 = -2.56

I was advised that it was probably (note probably) Cyl 2 injector causing
the problem. I was then quoted £600+ to replace it.

Will your product clean the injectors??

Yes, it will clean the injectors but it won’t help if the injectors are mechanically failing or leaking.

Can I use this on a modern motorcycle engine (Kawasaki 1000cc) and does the amount added to the tank differ since the tank is much smaller than any car. Thanks

Being new to diesel motoring, what is the difference to a DPF and a EGR. Would one cleaner for one not clean the other? If not, is there a brand/cleaner I could use to clean everything in one go?

    Many thanks

The EGR recirculates some of the exhaust gases back into the air intake. It is essentially part of the air intake. The DPF is part of the exhaust system and is designed to capture any remaining particulates. Cleaning efficiency is simply a matter of positioning. Heat is necessary to clean and the exhaust, including the DPF retains heat. The EGR, however, is designed to cool recirculating gases so cleaning efficacy is reduced considerably.

    Hi,

I have a Range Rover Classic 3.5 V8 EFI from 1986 with 110.000 miles (180.000km) and I would like to do an engine clean.

In my Audi I already used AR2300 + AR9100 + AR6400D, but as the Range Rover has 30 years and some miles I don’t know what is safe to use.

    What you suggest?

    Regards,

A vag scan on my 2004 Vauxhall Meriva 1.6 petrol indicates piston 3 is faulty although i have put new plugs in and they are all firing. Is it the valves and would it hurt to open the car up on the motorway with the engine light flashing.

The problem needs to be correctly diagnosed first. If you have replaced the plugs then replace/swap the coil pack. If the coil pack is ok then test the fuel injectors and carry out a compression check.

I have Nissan Xtrail 2015, done 7k in last six month, regularly using this car for long drives once a week and inspite had a engine management light last month. Taken to Nissan garage, done some work and as soon as I took the car out of Nissan garage, again greeted by engine management light followed by Lipm mode, had to call AA. Now the bill is £2500 as they had to replace the DPF which was completely blocked and forced regeneration was declined. Totally frustrated, Nissan do not cover this under warranty, Now looking for suitable fuel additive to run the car until get it replaced with patrol one.
Your advise would be highly appreciated.

A blocked DPF RARELY needs to be replaced. In almost all cases a professional in-situ flush (approx. £200) will clean it sufficiently to enable a forced regeneration through a diagnostic tool. Then ensure the fuel system is cleaned with a high quality cleaner and check other systems such as the EGR are not blocked etc. Improving the quality of the oil (or fortifying with an additive), using a fuel catalyst/conditioner such as AR6200 (now AR6900-D MAX) and providing the necessary conditions to get the emission control system up to full operating temperature on a regular basis will keep the particulate filter running more efficiently.

We have a 2005 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 td, 76000 miles done. We used to 12000 miles a year and did not have any problems with the car. However, over the last couple of years we have done half that with many shorter journeys of around 30 to 60 miles. We have had the engine check light come on regularly with fault codes pertaining to glow plugs and the egr valve. The valve was replaced but the light continued to come on. Valve cleaner was used twice. In fact the light tended to come on during trips to the airport on the motorway at 70mph. Just had it sorted again at a service last week and decided to do a bit more research. Reading the comments on your page, our problems seem to fit in with the pattern. Do you have any advice as to a product to use, please

Is there any smoke immediately after coming off the throttle after hard acceleration? If so, this would point to turbo seals. If not it could be an injector leak or PCV blockage.

RAC arrived to find dpf light off but advised to change dpf should it come on again. when I got back on the motorway the dpf light came on again. Hi, they are broken down particle by particle, disolved and then combusted. It is important to understand that carbon is still a fuel, but just solid rather than liquid. With the correct catalysts it will burn and combust just like a liquid fuel.

Hi, with fuel system cleaning it doesn’t matter. However, with combustion area or post combustion area cleaning the key is heat. So any driving style that helps generate heat will assist in burning off the deposits.

Hi Joanne, this could be a number of different causes. A high strength polyetheramine fuel system cleaner like AR6400 or BG244 would be a good start as a process of elimination but it could also be a degraded sensor, emission control system blockage or similar.

Hi, I have a Peugeot 807 2.2 HDI 85.,000 miles. The light management comes on and off very frequently, the message displayed is “Anti Pollution Fault”, also now “Diesel Additive minimum level” is displayed. I put 3 litres of additive 3 months ago, I thought it would last longer than that. The performance of the car has deteriorated drastically, especially when the light management is ON. The car stuggles to do 50 miles per hour on any uphill roads, I can get the car to run 70mph on a flat road, just about.., acceleration is poor too…
Would any of your additives help to improve the performance/running of the car and, if so, which is the best suitable for my 807? Kind Regards and many thanks….

The fuel in the tank looks clean and there was very little build up on the filters there has been not changed the performance. It has been to the local garage and they said that the Diagnostic equipment says that I need to replace the fuel pressure sensor, this is my 1st diesel so i have very little knowledge about the TD4 system. i have asked on the Landrover forum with various suggestions.
Main symptoms are Engine hesitation, poor performance, stalling at junction or at low speed/revs and it sometime sticks at 2500rpm.
which product would help to clear the fuel system and improve general running.

Brought a second hand very low mileage BMW X3 2.0d Sport. Had it serviced at BMW and they wanted £2k to decoke the engine (yellow engine warning light was on and the car had been used for lots of short trips in traffic). Put in a can of BG244. Engine warning light is now off and car runs much better. Fuel consumption is still low 30’s when I would expect high 30’s given I drive a lot on the motorway at a steady 70 mph (ish). Engine warning light still comes on from time to time but car benefits from a good red line rush thru the gears and that usually fixes it ! I have just finished the tank which had the BG244 in, is it too soon to add another can in the hope that it will completely clean out the coked up engine?

Also use AR9100 in with the oil as this should help reduce oil consumption and prevent polymerisation of oil in the intake system (including the EGR). Regards.

Hi, for an initial treatment/reactive clean use one of the products here http://www.powerenhancer.co.uk/section.php/182/1/diesel-particulate-filter-cleaners–dpf–and-catalytic-convertor-cleaners-. For proactive maintenance and to prevent any future excessive build-up I would strongly recommend AR6200. The fuel modification technology in this product will lower the hydrocarbons during the combustion process and thus give the DPF a much easier time. It comes into its own during cold startup. It improves the quality of combustion by lowering the temperature at which the fuel can burn so again, the hydrocarbons are much less even on short journeys or when the engine is not yet up to temperature. Regards.

Hi, Archoil AR640D to clean the system through. Then use AR6200 or AR6300 as a regular use treatment and this will fortify the fuel, keep the system clean, lubricate, improve the quality of the combustion and protect against any biological contamination, which bio-diesel is prone to. Would half a can be sufficient?

I bought a can of this for my 2006 Vauxhall Vectra sri cdti 150. The engine management light had illuminated and ran a test with a diagnostic tester which showed that the EGR valve needed replaced. I filled my tank after putting in the BG244 and ran it for a couple of weeks. I then ran the diagnostic test again and cleared the fault. The engine management light has stayed clear now for several weeks. This stuff has saved me costly garage repairs. I’ve now bought some for my wife’s and son’s cars. Highly recommended.

Hi, yes the AR6400-D will restore this providing there is no damage to pump or injectors. It is most likely biological contamination causing a restriction in the fuel system. When using biofuel it is important that its fortified with the correct additive pack to protect against gelling, waxing, biological and chemical contamination. Regards.

what can I say it really does work my bmw 325 has 141000 miles on her and was holding bakc and the idle was not as smooth as could have been.
I put the contents into a full tank of fuel and I must admit at first I did not think that it would do much as have tried other cleaners without any success ,anyway , after about 100 miles there was a signaficant improvement but now that I have done 385 miles the difference is massive . The idle now is so smooth and the acceleration is fantastic trouble is I am now using more petrol because I just like to go out for a drive
Many thanks for a superb product (by the way I have no connection with this company) just an extremely pleased customer

hi how soon after should a oil change be done i want to put some in my car and run it,
but i only have 4 weeks till ford fair and wont be able to get a oil change done before then,

what should i do its a petrol

Scott, that will be fine. An oil change is not necessary unless the deposits are excessive and/or the engine is worn. Regards, PE Team

Hi, I received my can of BG44K yesterday (stunning fast delivery time- well done) The car is due for its next service very soon- I’m wondering whether or not to put the can through before or after the sparks, leads and coils have been changed? The oil has only just been changed and won’t be due at the service- although I understand its most ideal to put the can through then change the oil… talk about bad timing- although I could always do another oil change. What do you recommend? Car is a rotary engined Mazda RX-8.

Hi, it won’t affect the plugs and will be fine to use now. Regards, PE Team

Hi. Just a quick line to say i tryed this product as you advised, and the difference after using half of one tank full of fuel was incredible. More power and more mpg (between 15 and 20%) which is what i originaaly mentioned. What i would like to know now is, do i have to add any subsequent treatments or, just forget about it for about 12 months?. Thanks again.

    Hi

I have a 325SE BMW. I had a diagnosis check done and told bank 1 and 2 oxygen sensors or Lambda needed to be looked at. I would start the car and at traffic lights it would be rough. After a while, once warm then drive okay and idle okay. Will the BG 44K help with this problem?
    Please help.

Yes, if the sensors are faulty due to deposit build-up, the 44K will restore them. Regards, PE Team

Hi. I’ve got a 2 litre 02 Saab 93 petrol turbo. The vehicle is fully serviced and i do around 8000 miles per year. The fuel consumption seems a little low. Which of your products would you advise me to use.

I would use the BG44K as an initial treatment. Regards, PE Team

Missed out buying a used diesel xc70 4×4 Volvo 32mpg and left with a petrol version of the samecar but running at 25 mpg. If I bought the petrolversion plus your 44k what would you l
think I could improve the mpg to? Rural driving

Hi, it is difficult to say. It really depends on what the genuine MPG is, the type of driving you will do and whether there is any reduction as the result of fuel system and carbon deposits.

Ok… In a nutshell.. if u have a older car.. mines is 11 yr old then this is the stuff to use if its not running as it should. after 8 mile in my full tank ive noticed better acceleration, more power with less push on accelerator. quicker autogear changes, quieter engine. also like to add that the smoke ive had coming from exaust for last 3 month (not head gasket or anything like that just smoke) has vanished. i was hesitant about this product as i always am but ordered anyway.

Can you tell me how this product would clean the back of the inlet valves inside the inlet port on a direct injection engine like the Mini Cooper S? I have a Mini Cooper S which is prone to this problem.

Hi, the back of the inlet valves is the most difficult area to clean as they are generally out of reach of system carbon removers. However, we are testing a new product for this by Archoil.

Hi, I’ve just taken my car to the garage after noticing the car vibrating violently @~1200rpm and have been told that I need to replace the EGR Valve which will cost £285. It is a 2.2L Vauxhall Astra MK4 Coupe Bertone and am told this is a very common problem with the Z22SE engine.

Would this cleaner work on this part which I’m assuming is blocked? and save me all that money.

    Thanks

    Richard

Hi Richard, If the EGR is completely blocked then AR6400 will struggle. It would be best to remove the EGR and related pipe work and clean it by hand. Then use AR6400 afterwards to remove any remaining carbon from the system.

i have a v8 petrol rangerover, carbon has blocked a oil gallery thus causeing a top end engine tapping.will your product sort out this problem or another of your products.please advise .thank you, kind regards, dave.

Hi Dave, I would recommend AR6400 for the fuel to remove all carbon build-up but for the oil gallery blockage you will require BG Quick Clean (engine flush), to use imemdiately before a fresh oil change.
